Strategic Performance Management
Performance management is the conceptual underpinning of any performance improvement programme. The process of setting goals, agreeing plans for their attainment, measuring performance, regularly reviewing progress and course correcting where necessary at different levels in the organisation, ensures congruency of effort, teamwork and good business management.
Over and above these basic tenants we favour the use of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC by Kaplan & Norton) methodology. BSC is a strategic management tool which links employee involvement to operational process to customer outcomes and financial consequences. This holistic view of business management ensures the creation of long term customer value and concomitant shareholder value.
